Nigel O’Neill’s paintings consist of a number of vibrantly coloured planes, these evokes a perspective and illusionistic space. Different edges of the plane are pushed backward or forward by our visual perception of colour, making flat surfaces operate spatially in an ambiguous manner. Each painting presents a compelling position through an ambiguous internal spatial and functional relationship between the painting and the structure of the painting support.

He has exhibited widely including The Royal Academy Summer Exhibitions 2008 -2023, Spectrum Fine Art London and many others. He is represented in many collections including Coca Cola,, Paul Smith Ltd,and Derwent London.
